What an amazing break
This year my wife and I decided to stay home and not travel for the holidays. My kids had eleven days off from school, and both Tal and I took that time off from work as well. I managed to avoid checking work e-mail the entire time, which is a pretty amazing feat for me. We took apart the downstairs playroom and painted it (four colors in eight wall segments), and it looks awesome. We collected a vanload of stuff the kids have outgrown and took it to a consignment sale. We bought a new desktop machine for shared family use (the old laptop I'd intended to use for this died). Our gas logs for our fireplace came in and were installed. We baked cookies. We cleaned. It was completely awesome!
