More signs of useful Leopard infrastructure
My wittle.net server is my mailserver, and I use IMAP over SSH to access it. This was really painful when I first used it with Tiger, because Tiger insisted on complaining about the validity of the certificate each time I started mail. I finally set up my Linux box as a certificate authority, and added the generated certificate into the Tiger certificate chain.
When I upgraded to Leopard, Mail started to complain about the certificate again. I found a link on how to add the certificate again, but before I followed up on this, I decided to confirm that the issue wasn't simply that the certificate had expired. When I chose to view the certificate in Mail via the popup, there was an option to 'Trust' below the certificate. I was able to tell mail to always trust the certificate.
Much better than Tiger.
